This strawberry banana smoothie is so creamy and fruity. Depending on how ripe or sweet your fruit is, you may need to add a little extra honey, so add based on your taste.
1 heaping cup fresh or frozen strawberries
1 medium ripe banana or 1 cup banana slices, frozen is best
Half of a medium orange, peeled and quartered
¾ cup to 1 cup milk, dairy or non-dairy, or substitute water
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon almond butter, peanut butter or cashew butter
1 to 3 teaspoons chia seeds, hemp seeds, or flaxseed meal
2 to 4 tablespoons Greek yogurt or cottage cheese
1 teaspoon strawberry jam, honey, or maple syrup
1Add the strawberries, banana, orange, ¾ milk (or water), and vanilla extract to a blender. If you plan to add any, add optional ingredients to the blender.
2Turn the blender on and blend until creamy and smooth. If the smoothie is too thick, add a bit more milk. Add a few ice cubes and blend until smooth for an icy cold smoothie.
